Charlie Berger is the Sr. Director of Product Management, Machine Learning, AI and Cognitive Analytics for Oracle Server Technology. Since 1999, he has been responsible for Oracle Machine Learning—starting when Oracle acquired Thinking Machines Corporation where he was VP of Product Management. In addition to working with development and customers, he supports Applications Development that embed OML. He is the co-founder of BIWA Inc. that runs the annual Analytics and Data Summit event. Previously, he worked in startups in expert systems, statistical and exploratory data analysis software and robotics and machine vision. He holds an MS in Manufacturing Engineering and an MBA, both from Boston University. He holds a BS in Operations Research/Industrial Engineering from UMASS, Amherst.
