HPC helps researchers predict harmful drug interactions

Second of four webinars with Internet2®

At the University of California,Davis, researchers are using Oracle Cloud to create computer simulations of the human heart. Their goal-to better understand and predict how certain pharmaceutical compounds can cause heart pattern disturbances, known in the medical field as arrhythmias.

With OCI virtual machines, bare metal GPU and CPU shapes, and ultra-fast HPC networking, UC Davis researchers can accelerate their molecular dynamics simulations and 3D cardiac tissue modeling, saving both costs and time.

Discover how high performance computing can help you model situations and events that can have adverse results without additional research study.

Produced with Internet2 and the member community

Oracle is pleased to join all Internet2 members in advancing technology infrastructures and services that support research and scholarship, help institutions enhance their operating environments, and address challenges that no single institution could solve alone
