ELevate: Upgrading EL7 servers to EL8 for ISVs and DevOps
ELevate allows anyone to upgrade servers Running EL7 to EL8 as long as they don't have 3rd party RPMs. But what if they do? What about RPMs that are not part of standard repositories?
In this session Andrew Lukoshko, AlmaLinux OS Architect will show how you can extend ELevate to:
- Extend ELevate to include 3rd party repositories
- Upgrade 3rd party RPMs as part of ELevate upgrade
- Handle complex upgrades, where there is no 1:1 mapping between RPMs for EL7 and EL8
