Cloud Coaching: Configure Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) 22.1 for DBCS (or on-premise Oracle Databases)
Oracle REST Data Services is a Java EE-based alternative for Oracle HTTP Server and mod_plsql. The Java EE implementation offers increased functionality including a command-line based configuration, enhanced security, file caching, and RESTful web services. Oracle REST Data Services also provides database actions, REST enabled SQL, database REST API, REST APIs, and PL/SQL Gateway.
In this session we will cover:
- Creation of a PDB (pluggable database) that will be configured with ORDS.
- Creation of a compute instance where ORDS will be installed and configured.
- Installation of APEX and configuration with ORDS.
- Accessing APEX using ORDS.
Note: The introduction of ORDS 22.1 simplifies the install and configure process over previous versions of ORDS by providing a new configuration executable, and as such differs from previous ORDs versions.
