In this workshop, you will test drive Oracle Machine Learning on Oracle Autonomous Database. You will explore OML Notebooks by creating notebooks, setting interpreter bindings, and scheduling a notebook job. In the Introduction to OML4SQL lab, you will use the SQL API via notebooks to implement a short data science project that forecasts product sales using a time series model. In the Introduction to OML4Py lab, you will use the Python API to develop and evaluate a Decision Tree-based classifier and score data using it. In the next lab, Introduction to OML4R, you will use OML4R to create a proxy object, explore and prepare data, build and evaluate models, and use those models to score data. In the Introduction to OML AutoML UI lab, you will use the no-code user interface OML AutoML UI to run an experiment, which builds and ranks models, and deploy a Naive-Bayes classifier. You will also explore a notebook generated from a model produced by the experiment. Finally, in the Introduction to Oracle Machine Learning Services lab, you will score singleton and mini-batch records with a Naive-Bayes classifier and use the Cognitive Text feature to analyze a text string.

Take a deep dive into two key features of Oracle Database 23c in this interactive session.

First, we’ll look at JSON Relational Duality Views, which help to converge the benefits of both document and relational worlds. Developers now get the flexibility and data access benefits of the JSON document model, plus the storage efficiency and power of the relational model. We’ll use a feature of Oracle REST Data Service (ORDS) called AutoREST to enable REST calls on our tables that can quickly insert, update, and delete.

Secondly, we’ll get into Operational Property Graphs, which help you uncover the hidden connections within your data. We will use the example of detecting fraud within banking information. We’ll create a graph from two tables with banking data, then run graph pattern queries in SQL on it. You will find circular payment chains, multi-hop paths between accounts, and more. The GRAPH_TABLE function and MATCH clause of the new SQL:2023 standard enable you to write simple SQL queries to follow such connections in data.

In this workshop, you will create a fully featured, responsive Web app using Oracle APEX on Oracle Cloud. This workshop gets you a well-rounded understanding of low code app development with APEX.

This workshop walks you through uploading the NYC High Schools spreadsheet data into an Oracle database table, and then creating an application based on this new table. You will then play with the Faceted Search, Interactive Report, and improve the attached form. You will learn how to add a map region to the search page in order to visually enhance the page. You will also learn to download and use the application as a Progressive Web App (PWA).

Oracle APEX is a feature of Oracle Database, including the Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), Autonomous JSON Database (JSON) and APEX Application Development (APEX) services. Oracle APEX is a low-code development environment with various features and tools, where you can create an application fast. In the future, rather than emailing spreadsheets around to gather information, you will know how to easily create an app in minutes using APEX and email the URL instead.
