It’s my pleasure to announce the re-introduction of JavaOne, the world's premier developer conference for the Java community. Yes, you read correctly — JavaOne is BACK!
The ethos of JavaOne has always been a learning program “for developers, by developers,” and we are embracing this key tenant to ensure an even stronger presence with this re-introduction. JavaOne is part of the recently announced Oracle CloudWorld Conference (October 16-20, 2022) in Las Vegas, Nevada. JavaOne at Oracle CloudWorld will offer hundreds of expert-led technical sessions, hands-on labs, tutorials, and Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) sessions. Your JavaOne journey will include topics such as the Java language & platform, cloud-native development, database, microservices, DevOps, artificial intelligence & machine learning, security & application management, and more.

Mark Reinhold, Chief Architect, Java Platform Group, Oracle
JDK 18, the reference implementation of Java 18, is now Generally Available. We shipped build 36 as the first Release Candidate of JDK 18 on 15 February, and no P1 bugs have been reported since then. Build 36 is therefore now the GA build, ready for production use.
Chad Arimura, VP of Java Developer Relations, Oracle
Conversation with Naoto Sato on JEP 400, UTF-8 by Default, and Michel Trudeau on JEP 413, Code Snippets in Java API Documentation.
David Delabassée, Java Developer Relations, Oracle
Oracle is always looking to make the JDK easier to use. This action can be used to download and install many of the JDK builds from Oracle for use in your pipelines.
David Delabassée, Java Developer Relations, Oracle
Conversation with Julia Boes, Senior Member of Technical Staff in Dublin, to discuss the Simple Web Server (SWS).
With Java 18 released just two weeks ago, developers now have the very latest in the platform. However, sometimes it's also good to take a look back and realize how Java has evolved. Since 1995 the Java has grown to be used by over 10 million developers worldwide today.
José Paumard, Java Developer Relations, Oracle
How to use Java 17 new features, i.e. Records, Switch Expression and Pattern Matching for Switch (a preview feature of JDK 17) to create a Wordle Checker. Also this program shows you how to write readable code even when your algorithm is complex.
Nicolai Parlog, Java Developer Relations, Oracle
Refinements in pattern matching and Panama's foreign and vector APIs; a new command `jwebserver` and a new IP address resolution SPI; preparing code for UTF-8 becoming the default character set and for the eventual removal of finalization; and a few more bits and pieces.
