James Richardson joined Oracle Analytics in 2022. Prior to that he was a Gartner analyst where his research focussed on areas of analytic technology that help drive business decision maker engagement with data, including interactive visualization, data storytelling, and the consumerization of analytic user experiences through AI augmentation. He was the lead author of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Analytics & BI Platforms multiple times from 2008 to 2021. As well as two tours at Gartner, James spent 17 years at analytics software vendors Qlik and Hyperion. Earlier still, he worked in software development working on SCADA and WMS systems for industry.

Rich Clayton

Rich Clayton is vice president of product strategy for Oracle Analytics. He is responsible for the global adoption of Oracle’s analytic solutions, and he also coaches customers on how to succeed in analytics. Rich is the board chair for the analytics program at Cal Poly, and led the development of the first business analytics MBA program in Iowa. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Loras College and attended University of Chicago’s Executive Leadership program.
