Teresa Andrea has served as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois since June 2020. Teresa is a graduate of Bradley University where she received her BS in Nursing. She also received her MS in Health Administration from University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.
Having a strong technology and clinical background with diverse hospital operations knowledge, Teresa offers a futuristic and adaptive perspective as people, process and technology are connected. Her experience in multiple roles has allowed her the ability to problem solve through various perspectives and successfully work across departments in an organization.
Known for her innovative approach, she has successfully implemented numerous organizational projects to support business strategy while incorporating data and analytics to identify opportunity as we move to value-based care. Whether it is digital strategy, innovative delivery of technology, workflow optimization or implementing a strategic technical infrastructure; Teresa successfully fosters conversation in the context of business transformation to secure commitment and engagement which ultimately brings success in deliverables.
Teresa’s responsibility expanded in July 2024 to oversee the Continuity of Care Division and was named Executive Sponsor over the hospital Readmission Penalty Program.
Teresa was named on the list of Women in Health IT to know in June 2023 and 2024 by Becker’s Hospital Review and was a finalist for CIO of the Year in 2024 by SIM Chicago.
