Roger Barga is currently senior vice president at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), responsible for strategy and execution of OCI's AI & ML portfolio of services. Roger is a seasoned technology executive with over two decades of experience driving innovation in cloud computing, data platforms, and AI. Prior to his current role, Roger was vice president and general manager, Azure databases at Microsoft, and has held executive leadership positions at Amazon Web Services, where he spearheaded the development of Amazon Kinesis and AI initiatives in computer vision, document processing, and fraud detection. His career spans both industry and research, with a strong foundation in machine learning, data processing, and distributed systems. Roger holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has contributed to numerous publications in the field of data services and cloud infrastructure.
