Supercharging RAG: Integrating Langchain and Oracle AI Database for Agentic Workflows

Supercharging RAG: Integrating Langchain and Oracle AI Database for Agentic Workflows

Are you looking to create a super-intelligent version of your current RAG application? Then you have come to the right place. In order to develop a full-fledged agent from an existing RAG application (and be able to reason & act) you need to integrate decision making logic with your application along with vector searches. Join us as we show you how you can use the capabilities of Oracle's AI Database to create the next generation of AI applications.

I will describe my own experience with integrating the langchain-oracledb library into a RAG application. This session will provide both the “why” and “how” of using langchain-oracledb to simplify vector operations as well as some consideration for creating agents that can both reason & act. Included is a live demonstration that goes through a notebook showing how to see the results of real-time vector search queries and view how the agents are behaving in real time.

Nacho Martínez works as a Data Scientist Advocate for Oracle, providing help to software developers create real world AI systems using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, especially focusing on machine learning, generative AI and LLM based applications. He has roughly 7 years of AI experience and has developed a number of successful educational projects such as the League of Legends Optimizer, which takes developers through each step of extracting data, training models, and then running models in real time and open source projects for Telemetry Analysis and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). He frequently presents at conferences like Oracle CloudWorld, KubeCon, and DevLive tours; sharing the best practices for putting AI into production and explaining difficult concepts to a wide developer audience. His presentations combine stories, live demonstrations, and open source code showing how to take an experiment and turn it into a stable, scalable system that provides business value in gaming, motorsports, and enterprise applications.
