The Intelligence Plane: What your agents know, remember and learn

Every firm can buy the same frontier models. What separates one firm's agents from another's is what they know about the business, what they remember, and whether they improve. In financial services that is also where entitlements, audit and model risk sit, which is why so many agents stall between pilot and production.

Take one request: an analyst asks an agent for the firm's exposure to a counterparty. The model can write the query. What it cannot know is that the counterparty is a dozen legal entities, that two desks calculate exposure differently, that this analyst is cleared to see only one of them, and that the agent was corrected on this exact request last week. A better model fixes none of that.

Fixing it is the job of what we call the intelligence plane: a slice through the agent stack covering application, data, ontology and semantics, memory, and the governance that wraps them. I will follow that request through the plane one layer at a time, closing each gap as we go, then show how to build your own on Oracle. If that analyst asked your agent tomorrow, how many of those four things would it know?
