10 Ways to Ensure a Successful Simphony Install
- Be engaged
- Ask questions throughout the process
- Understand key dates, such as database review and go-live date
- Only submit final menus or fully completed menu item configuration sheet
- Own data - avoid garbage in, garbage out
- Get other departments (like IT, Finance, etc.) involved with the consultants not just F&B
- Duplicate POC’s - there should always be at least 2 POS champions on every site
- Commit both POS champs for the whole 8 hours during POS champ training days
- Ask questions during POS champ training, like, can we do this? Will the system do this? How do I accomplish programming this business process?
- Don’t be afraid to communicate with Oracle if you need more help. We would much rather do it with an installer onsite, rather than post install
